FYGW#3 Very Important People
When Kelly told me I had to write a blog for Wolf Wednesday I had a teeny tiny panic. Anyone who knows me well will testify that this really isn’t my thing.
I considered a ghost writer and, more drastically, quitting my job but quickly realised that I had to face my insecurities and just get on with it.
Was I feeding my good wolf already??
Anyway, I had already started to make plans to get together with friends I hadn’t seen for a while and it got me thinking about all the people who have played an important part in my life that I don’t make enough effort to see. Even when it’s not easy to get together, text messages seem to have replaced phone conversations.
Sadly, a very dear friend of mine was diagnosed with terminal cancer about a year ago. Since the diagnosis, we have seen each other around twice a month. Before that, we saw each other around twice a year!! Why has it taken something awful to happen to make us properly reconnect??
So, with multiple arrangements already in my diary, I shall be feeding my good wolf with friendship, laughter, coffee and prosecco!
