For the first time in London (maybe ever?!), we’re bringing the addictive world of soaps to the stage — with a bold, brand-new format that rips up the rulebook and invites you into the drama.

Welcome to PENGE WEST — a live, episodic, laugh-out-loud, tear-your-heart-out continuing drama set right here in Penge. Over eight thrilling episodes, you’ll follow the tangled lives and secrets of a cast of very south-east London characters. Think EastEnders, if it had a pint with Inside No. 9, and then stayed up too late watching Succession.

But that’s just the half of it…

Before each episode, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes play-within-a-play: A CONTINUING DRAMA — the fictional (and hilarious) story of how PENGE WEST got made. Think of it as the soap about the soap.

Every night, the actors perform script-in-hand, keeping it raw, electric, and totally unpredictable. Audience reactions matter — your feedback could shape the next episode. So if you’ve ever shouted at the telly, now’s your chance to make it count.

Created by Tim Connery (The Man in the Shed, Chet Baker: Let’s Get Lost, What A Gay Day) and directed by John Handscombe (The One Hundred Year-Old Letter) and Luke Adamson (The Bridge House Theatre’s Artistic Director), this is a theatrical event unlike anything you’ve seen before.
